I’m not ready and I’m doing it anyway

Wouldn’t it have been so good to be able to have all my marketing materials together with unified (and beautiful and cool) branding by the time the Wedding Expo arrived? Yep. But they’re not really ready. I got to the point that I had to order business cards, or they wouldn’t have gotten in the swag bags for the event. Oh yeah – the first 50 people get swag bags! I included a DIY thank you card with my artwork on it that you can embellish. Anyway, so I have very basic cards, and a not finished, not really designed web site, and the event is Sunday.

Sometimes you can’t plan, you have to DO

I guess the point of this post is to cleverly let you know why my site is still a mess, even though I think my booth at the event will look darling! And to let myself believe that it will be okay. I’m such a planner that it does actually bother me. But if I scrap the whole thing and don’t go to the show, a lot of work is wasted, so that seems silly. Most of the time we have to focus on the things we can get done in the time we have. However, it’s way to easy to get caught up in making one thing perfect to the ruin of something else. In the past few months, I realized that just doing, just taking action, has lead me in the right direction. So, I’m moving on forward, even though I’m not quite ready.

I’ll report back with how it goes! (and I’m betting it’s going to be great, so I ask you to think about what you could take action on, even though you’re not 100% ready to go…)
